This one needs some in-person view because it does have multiple layers of actual artifacts. Maybe you can recreate this with 3D reflection model or even in the VR world.
Different circles intersecting with each other with triangular bring me back some memory of geometry classes, with protractor and ruler and compass, especially the transparent plastic plate (which seems to reveal the work’s 20th century origin). The palette and pens hidden behind adds some art smell here.
Maybe I am just missing the old days of drawing and thinking of intersecting circles without worrying things beyond them.
I like the color and the spotlighty circle. It is yet another intersection.
Now that I look at it closer, the note I take here is the multiple crosses with some rotation offset and different color. Seems to be a nice visual treatment. We have box shadows which is sort of a simplified version of this — what’s missing is expanding this idea further.
Well, I was not expecting a common theme of these two abstraction arts under the hood. Looks like they do now.
Apologies that I skipped one-day’s post. I know no one subscribed so far, and I am a bit busy lately, and I did not prepare enough stockpile for the AIC series :(
